What you need

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 5 oz of sausage, cubed
  • 1 1/2 green beans
  • 3 cups of cooked rice
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 egg
  • pepper, for seasoning


Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, green beans, sausage, 1 tablespoon soy sauce and a teaspoon sesame oil, sautee until it is cooked (about 5 minutes). Stir in the rice, add remainder soy sauce and sesame oil and fry. Stir constantly until rice is cooked through and begins to crisp up. Turn up the heat to medium high , if needed to get the rice to crisp up.

Whisk egg. Create a well in middle of the pan and add the egg, let it cook for about 30 seconds and stir into the rice to fully coat the rice. Alternatively, just pour the whisked egg over the rice, then stir (quickly) to coat the rice. 

Season with salt and pepper as needed. Serve hot.
